Katharina Staudte
Katharina Staudte was an intern at the the Bertelsmann Stiftung's Europe progremme in Berlin from September 2025 to March 2026. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a semester abroad at Johns Hopkins University in the United States as a Fulbright grantee, where she gained both academic and volunteer experience during the 2024 U.S. presidential elections. Her research interests lie in transatlantic relations and global governance, with a focus on international cooperation and development finance. Her bachelor’s thesis examined the impact of Chinese development finance on political alignment in international organizations in the context of the changing global order. Prior to joining the Stiftung, she interned with a Member of the German Bundestag.
