Anna Heckhausen

Anna Heckhausen works in the Europe’s Future programme at the Bertelsmann Stiftung, focusing on issues related to the EU budget. Her research centres on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF 2028–2034), particularly on budget sustainability and the green transformation of Europe’s economy. She studied Political Science and International Relations at Central European University in Vienna, Maastricht University, and Korea University in Seoul. Before taking on her current role, she worked in the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s Democracy programme and at the Global Public Policy Institute, where she focused on the EU’s economic security.
