The long-term reintroduction of <\/i><\/span>border controls within Europe<\/i><\/span> would reduce economic growth<\/i><\/span> throughout Europe. Up to the year 2025 f<\/i><\/span>or Germany alone a decline in growth can be expected amounting to <\/i><\/span>a minimum of 77 bil<\/i><\/span>l<\/i><\/span>ions from 2016<\/i><\/span> to 2025.<\/i><\/span> In a pessimistic scenario these losses could <\/i><\/span>even <\/i><\/span>sum up to <\/i><\/span>about 235 billion euros within the next 10 <\/i><\/span>years<\/i><\/span>. These are <\/i><\/span>the results of a current study by Prognos AG <\/i><\/span>on behalf of <\/i><\/span>the Bertelsmann Stiftung<\/i><\/span>.<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
