A trade professional by background, Emily also previously worked to fight the illicit trade of art and antiquities from conflict zones and has worked in international sanctions law. She completed a traineeship with the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, where she covered trade defense mechanisms and digital trade issues. She holds a master\u2019s degree in political science from the University of Geneva and a bachelor\u2019s degree in international relations and political science from the University of Colorado. A native Midwesterner, she has lived in France, Indonesia, and Switzerland."}
