In the Global Economic Dynamics (GED) project team, he takes on a variety of tasks ranging from literature research to reviewing the content of publications. Simon studied International Business (B.Sc.) and International Economics and Management (M.Sc.) at the University of Paderborn. As part of his bachelor's program, he was employed as a student assistant for several years, working as a tutor and project assistant. With his master thesis in 2020, Simon focused on the impact of income inequality on economic growth. In addition to socio-economic issues, he is particularly interested in topics related to environmental and economic sustainability as well as national and international climate policy.
