Before joining Bertelsmann Stiftung in 2010, Jake Benford lived and worked in the UK where he gained professional experience with the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Chatham House and the UK Civil Service (Education). He holds degrees in international politics and philosophy from University College London (UCL), Sciences Po Paris and the University of Cambridge.
